billy
I made this several years ago when I was a real newbie, but it still helps sometimes when the brain stops working :DHope it helps ! 8)The_E12_Resistor_Series.pdf
mixos
If you are looking for labels to organize your resistors and be able to find them easy and fast you can print out the following sheet and cut each piece of label to attach it to your boxes. It inlcudes all the common resistor values at 5% tolerance.
Ldanielrosa
Good morning Mixos. Either my groggy eyes deceive me or the colors aren't rendering correctly on my computer. Your entry for 100K looks like1G0. Also you showed 010 for 100R. You may want to put a "G" for the third band on the sub-10 ohm values. mixos
Thanks for the corrections Ldanielrosa. I already updated the above images.

CRE
Ok, I know this is an old thread but it seems the best place for my question instead of starting a new thread.... What's the proper color code for a 1 Ohm resistor? Black, Brown, Black or Brown, Black, Gold?
ante
Hi CRE,They both work fine, here you can try different color codes: http://www.electrician.com/resist_calc/resist_calc.htm
CRE
Thanks for the prompt reply Ante.Ok, so there isn't one that's "right" or "standard"? Has anyone here come across either or both? (I'm making a chart and labels for my organizer... ;) )
ante
Hi CRE,As far as I know they are correct since I have encountered them both on many occasions.
Dazza
Thank you mixos, billy, I'm not over the hill, but I am not a spring chicken either ;D but man I've got a terrible memory, this will make finding that resistor much easier :D. So I will become an Electronics God when I reach 500 posts. Man that was easy to learn electronics 8) ;D, maybe it should say something different for me, for someone that asks for a lot of questions and for help, and still knows very little ;D ;D ;D.
