Kevin Weddle Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Current can come from either of two energy bands. What is the difference between current at one energy band and the current at the other energy band? They both consume the same amount of power, I believe. This is an open question to anyone that has a theory. Quote
tavix Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 :Pno diference in current, we talking about diferences in conduction mechanism. If carriers are in thermic equilibrum with the cristaline network the main difference (from electical conduction point of view) between electrons and gaps is the mobility of their movement throgh the cristal. :o ;D :D Quote
prateeksikka Posted May 18, 2005 Report Posted May 18, 2005 hi kevin!there is no difference b/w the current .Say 5mA is only 5mA irrespective from where it comes.it is simply 5milli Coulumbs/sec.Although the mechanism in which conductors and insulators(not perfect insulators ofcourse) conduct. The charge carriers those who are in majority may also be differing in some concentration.Current is a Current! ;Dprateek Quote
