Temp controlled fan

Hi Nibbels,
Welcome to our forum.
Which temp-controlled fan project did you make? We have 3 of them.
Please "copy shortcut" then paste a link to it.

Separate start and stop temps can be adjusted if you use a window comparator circuit. I think the circuits that control the speed of the fan are better, my new computer has one. I can faintly hear its fan speed-up a little when it is number-crunching.

:)you may find those thermal switches in microwave ovens helpfull these switch on  or off, and circuit you use it in  just apply the heat of a cigarrette lighter to the metal face of the thermal switch then listen for the click as it switches off the circuit or on.

NIbbels,

Just a few questions:

At what temperature to you want to turn the fan off?

What temperature do you want the fan to turn on?

Power supply?

Sorry you confused me ??? AC/ DC, what voltage?

You need a thermistor a special type of resistor that changes its resistance as the temperature changes. I would uses this as part of a potential divider, and use a comparator to turn a relay of transistor on/off. If you answer the above questions I'll design the circuit for you.
