dimak4real
I have seen the transistor tester circuit on this site and I am very interested in designing it. I have gotten all other components for it but could not get the 1uF 16V capacitor and the 50k resistor. I want to know if i can replace these components with a 1uF 50V capacitor and a 56K resistor respectively. thanks
steven
a 1uf 50 volts capacitor will be ok , as for the resister 50k use 5x 10 k resisters in sieries to make up 50k or 2x 20k and 1x 10k to make up 50k, 56k may be to high it may pay to stick to the value in the circuit or within the tolerance range of that resister, like 5%
ante
The 50k resistor can be replaced with a 47k which is easier to find. ;)
EdwardM
....and another thingThe 50K resistor is most cheaply produced by connecting two 100K resistors in parallel ;DEd
audioguru
The project has an error and won't work unless the error is corrected, as explained in the project's link to its discussion in the forum. The corrected schematic is here:
