gogo2520
Hello Mettula I am new to electronics too and understanding the difference in transistors is a project all in its own. I found the data sheet for the BF494 and will post it. And try to come up with something for. Boy wish I could find data sheets for my collection or transistors. good luck gogo42501001.pdf
audioguru
Hi Gogo,You can find most datasheets for old and new semiconductor products at www.datasheetarchive.com .
gogo2520
Thanks audioguru I will give a try. Right now I am in hot persuit of info on a power transister SK B1382. Just because I have one and I want to see what it can do. I hope that makes sense. Thanks gogo
gogo2520
I gave it a shot. Darn no luck, Its just a transistor I got out of a old printer, its in good shape but no info yet. Hmmmmmmmmmmm gogo
audioguru
Maybe the power transistor SK B1382 is really a power Mosfet made by Toshiba with their part no. 2SK1382. The datasheet is available at www.datasheetarchive.com .
gogo2520
Thanks audioguru I didn't find it at data sheetarchive, but I did a search string on 2sk1382 and found the data sheet at http://katalog.elektroda.net/indx450-2SK.html nice I got it. With your help Thank You gogoe001347.pdf
mettula
But are SK B1382 and 2SK1382 equvalents of BF494? or as i said can i use 2N2219 of BF3553
gogo2520
No the 2sk1382 won't work. sorry but I will do some research tonight and see what I can come up with. gogo
Staigen
Hi mettulaWhere in the world are you living, the BF494 is one of the most common HF-transistors in the world! ;DTo gogo2520The B1382 can be a 2SB1382,
gogo2520
Hello Staigen Your right about the BF494< I checked mouser and they have it for 20 cents. I check the data sheets on th 2SB1382 wow what a difference between it and the 2SK1382. The transistor Has SK under lined on top of the part number, So I am guessing that it was made by Sanken. Thank You gogo
Staigen
Hi gogo2520"Japanese" makers usally delete the 2S in front of their transistors type-number! ???//Staigen

mettula
they were around LM2.50 which makes approx 1-1.5 euwos for 5 transistors and acouple of heatsinks....
audioguru
I think Mettula needs an entire Veronica FM transmitter kit, if it is still available.
