ante
Your best choice is to find the webpage for the battery manufacturer and you will get the correct information.
audioguru
My hard drive is full of handling articles of Lithium rechargable batteries but I haven't selected the best article.I downloaded the good Ni-Cad and Ni-MH Applications Manuals from Energizer which are attached. The most important thing to increase their life is to not overcharge them.nickelcadmium_appman.pdfnickelmetalhydride_appman.pdf

audioguru
so what if i leave them uncharged for long time??A lead-acid battery will get its plates sulphated and not work anymore. It must never be completely discharged.A Lithium battery will also be destroyed. It must never be completely discharged. I have some that haven't been used or charged for about 8 years and they still measure 3.8V.A Ni-Cad or Ni-MH cell is fine as long as it doesn't have a load. They self-discharge, some are dead in 3 months, others are dead in 2 years. But then they can be re-charged like new.
