rgb13
I've done above with relays previously but was thinking CMOS 4000 ? I purchased a crosspoint switch but am completely lost -- the support circuitry looks to complicated. Any ideas??
Hero999
You haven't made your requirements clear, please post a schematic. Is the power or signal? CMOS switchs are lower power signal devices, only work with signals within the power supply rails and shouldn't be confused with solid state relays. audioguru
A solid state relay uses a triac or couple of SCRs. It would produce horrible crossover distortion if it switched a speaker to the output of an amplifier.
Hero999
That's easy to get around: use an SSR made with two MOSFETs connected back to back rather than a TRIAC.
