TDK S-60 low volume on one side

Are you using AC scale on your meter? Also check the caps next to your green circled connector. 50c does sound rather warm but its an independent output which should be unrelated to L R amp section. You could try using an audio probe (Google search circuit) or just use a speaker with a .01uf...

TDK S-60 low volume on one side

"Not interchangeable" Sorry, only saw 4 leads at first. Looks like the lm1875 is for the sub and the lm4752 is the amp ic. Compare input signals feed with similar input sources (left/right) on pins 2 and 6.(Voltage with respect to ground) If similar, you should have similar outputs on pins...

TDK S-60 low volume on one side

I would Check the diodes and then swap ic502 with ic504 which are likely opamps. If problem follows to opposite side you know it's bad.

    Wire Size for Security Camera

Yes. Power circuits should be installed according to your local electrical codes. If these are 120v branch circuits you need to run a minimum of 14awg regardless of the load and use a chapter 1 wiring method according to the NEC. You can't use flexible cord as a substitute for a permanent...

    PCB transformer split its core...

Yes, but the windings are likely shorted which caused it to melt apart. In other words, just shoring up the ferrite core likely won't fix it.

    Light/outlet remote status indication

Dual technology occupancy sensors use ultrasonic and passive infrared detection. They are miles apart from the earlier/cheap pir models that are unreliable except for small areas. DT sensors can be used in places where you are far away from it or locations with high bay ceilings. They work well...

    Meter screw up a fluke?

Ah, No I was using a 5k pot as a reference to check resistance range on meter. I didn't elaborate in part, to see if someone would comment on the yellow component in the back that looks cracked. (...It's not)

    Meter screw up a fluke?

You missed it Dave, the upper cathode leads of those diodes were touching. I don't know how it happened because they were under a protective cover. Perhaps it got dropped? Anyway, I separated them and all seems well.

    Meter screw up a fluke?

I think I found it, it's seems to be working correctly after I reassembled it.

    Meter screw up a fluke?

I can dial back a 5k pot and autorange feature switches ohm scale below .4k into 400Ω and below. Sometimes it reads ohms, Sometimes it doesn't. I should be able to read ohms in the ohm range regardless. I've had this meter about 25 years and it was always reliable until now. When I get a...

    Meter screw up a fluke?

I always trusted my fluke meters but i noticed my 87iii screwing up reading lower resistances. I comparitively checked a resistance of 467Ω and got 467Ω on my fluke 115 and fluke 87v but my fluke 87iii said O.L. I checked it again and it was right but read .467k Suspecting the autoranging...

I would use your adjustable ps. Just don't exceed voltage rating of what your powering. You can learn a lot from the web. Here's a couple examples courtesy of YouTube.

    Help revive dead Lanyu airpad

Be prepared it may take considerable time to trace it down and often you may find that the suspect part cannot be Id'd or sourced. You can remove components that are tied along power rail and then monitor voltage or resistance to ground to see if short goes away. When you remove a component...

    Help revive dead Lanyu airpad

Initially thinking the battery was problem. Possible short? So, You hook up your 3.7v battery and its voltage quickly gets drained to near 0v? Try feeling around for overheating components like chips or diodes with your finger. Don't leave hooked up for more than about 10 seconds while trying...

    Help revive dead Lanyu airpad

You only read 0.3v because the battery is overloading your power supply. At low battery voltage, the current is exceedingly high. That explains the smoke. Try to isolate where the problem lies. Will it power up with battery removed and hooked to alternative power source? Monitor the voltage...

    Woo-Woo 240V AC System

Current flowing will cause a magnet field. Near power lines 10,000V/m is common. I wouldn't worry about a few hundred V/m. EMF from the sun itself is about 200V/m. Unless your seeing several thousand V/m away from power, I would save your worrying for global warming.
