    Transformer Ring Tester

Built up the "in circuit" version of this ring tester however when used on several different 220v iron core transformers and one ignition coil, cannot get anything near the number of "rings" they show in the video. I get sometimes a 0 reading and on others, perhaps 1 if I'm lucky. It is in...

Hall Effect Sensor Normally Closed to Normally Open

There is a lot to be said for the kiss phrase. Keep It Simple Stupid.( latter not my words mind you but the rest always applies).

Hall Effect Sensor Normally Closed to Normally Open

You could save a lot of bother if you tossed your existing hall sensors and used maybe a n/c reed switch. There is also the option of using a standard hall effect module such as a KY-003 which has open collector output and pulls low under a magnet. Seems to me you are over thinking the application.

Hall Effect Sensor Normally Closed to Normally Open

Simple transistor should invert it no problem.

What did I do wrong in my first project?

No one is going to open a zip file with who-knows-what is concealed inside. Simple enough to post a circuit diagram in here without all that crap.

    7486 IC problem

I think I know where you are going with this but it won't work that way. The 74xx ic has an operating voltage of 5v as already shown and the gate of the ic is signal level only. Not designed to run motors etc. directly. A logic level mosfet buffer or similar might get the motor running but not...

Can this PCB be repaired ?

Think you will find the ground trace is intact and the pads for the LED. All that would be required would be , with added flux and solder wick (desoldering braid) such as shown below, remove existing solder on LED pads and fit new LED. (watch for correct polarity) You could epoxy corner piece...

Not sure what sensor to use

Hehehehe,,,yes........ OP was after 19mm.....video looks more like around the 75mm mark. It's that almost 4:1 reduction that is the problem ( errrr...should say, reality)

Vintage Yamaha Psr 32 Music Keyboard Noise

why not?...can't do any harm and if it's 1980's era, well overdue for a good clean. I'd still go with replacing the electrolytics though.

Not sure what sensor to use

Once again...tall order. You obviously have no idea of things like, miniaturisation of ic's, cost to develop and build a prototype, put manufacturing processes into action. Just to get the first one..... Dream on.

Not sure what sensor to use

Tall order...sensor ic maybe but associated uC as well as other interfaces, power supply etc., I doubt it.

    Opening Curcuit via MicroController

Maybe, but the statement remains. Make spelling or punctuation errors and you'll be chasing your tail. Not difficult to do a spell check these days .....you might just learn something new.

    Opening Curcuit via MicroController

    For positive logic, certainly.

    Opening Curcuit via MicroController

No, relay is not a good idea. Use a mosfet of suitable current rating plus some for leeway. When used with uC , you cannot get a much simpler interface between the uC voltages (usually 3.3 or 5v depending on which you use) and the vehicle voltage normally of anywhere between 11.5 and 14.5v...

Vintage Yamaha Psr 32 Music Keyboard Noise

Could be picking up mains buzz from improperly shielded cables/connections on the inputs. Perhaps even leaky decoupling caps. How old is the unit.?

Clear tunes model:62 adapter selectable dc voltage

Not much to the unit...old transformer type......test primary and secondary for circuit. Test bridge rectifier for working diodes. Surface resistor is for LED current limit. What appears to be a voltage selector and a separate on-off switch. If you can use a multimeter, few basic power off...

Connecting aerials together to boost mobile signal?

To begin with, 3G is about to be switched off all over the country in Aus (if that is where you are based) so not much point anyhow. Other than that, best look at your provider's coverage map. If you ain't in there, no point either.

    Crock pot modification

What do you expect a thermostat of any description will do...???? Nothing changes, remaining element will simply be on 24/7 with no improvement in heat output. It is what it is, a certain low wattage output. These elements are wound and bonded to the porcelain or ceramic (to disperse the heat)...

Clear tunes model:62 adapter selectable dc voltage

You will need to supply more details of the unit. Power input levels, output levels current ratings. What you use it for. Perhaps photos of the unit interior, schematics if you have access.
