    Analogue Meters for Nostalgia Sake

A digital ohm meter is not of practical use when one considers the situation I mentioned #6 above. Regardless of so-called digital accuracy. No chop whatsoever when the reading never stabilises.

Broken resistor and fuse in lab shaker's control panel

So which is it...totally confused now. Perhaps but the thing is all burnt up including the tracks.....one with a fair amount of experience would find it a task to replace a "good" one let alone be a beginner ...and ...burnt to a crisp into the bargain.

Moderators need to step in here and lock this up. Just turned into uneducated dribble.......

Broken resistor and fuse in lab shaker's control panel

Resistors don't "just burn up" for no reason so there must be more to it. No idea what photo 4 is all about. However, your resistor in photo 7 from a good board shows the value to be 1K ohm, (1001) not 100. Simple to measure the good resistor for size. Fuse value, no idea but could expect maybe...

    Analogue Meters for Nostalgia Sake

We usually have problems using any digital meter in reading earth continuity in household/commercial/industrial electrical systems. Even with power turned off at the main, they will jump and jitter all over the place making any sensible reading impossible. Especially when one need to know...

Hobby audio player project noise problem

What you provided above is not a "circuit diagram" but a pcb layout and as such, difficult to interpret. I would imagine though with audio, you have not considered noise injection from such things as power supply and having necessary ground shielding where required.

How to properly power electronics with a battery

Problem with using 12v is all that wasted power or need to use converters all over the place. Note that Op says 6v motors are being used in the design phase.

How to properly power electronics with a battery

Not a good idea for motor connections or anything else on a "permanent" basis. Breadboards are for testing and definetely not for the higher current of motors and drivers. LiPo batteries seem to have overrun the older NiMh and NiCd rechargables. Only thing one has to deal with there, is the...

    Custom LED Lightbulb circuit

These are mass produced, hence they are made for possibly a multiple of times less than you can buy even the basic parts. Forget it, go to local shop and buy perhaps 2 or 4 in a pack.

    Air conditioner remote control

Question just goes begging..........why would anyone want to turn on an air con in an unoccupied dwelling? Especially these days with the sharp rises in electricity costs.

In Wind Turbine, DC Motor is rotating from battery energy, discharging the battery after charging.

Even better Google shottky diode. 0.2v drop as opposed to 0.7v. Assuming no regulator being used...?????

In Wind Turbine, DC Motor is rotating from battery energy, discharging the battery after charging.

Think you will find they are mostly AC output. Reason why alternators are used in motor vehicles these days as it produces a greater output (3 phase to boot) from lower revs and simple regulator.

Exercise arm bike power board repair

To quote many who have come before, what's the fun in being told everything on a basic level and reinventing the wheel. Get off your lazy butt and find out some details for yourself, you just may learn something. Gazillions of tutorials and info out there on the web.........In our day, we had to...

Exercise arm bike power board repair

Would be unusual to say the least for any pcb to have gone "pop" and then have zero visual effect of the "pop". Did you do any test for power to the board, then the rectifier, or even the electrolytic cap? A fuse as such would not necessarily be obvious to the uninitiated, especially on pcb's...
