    problem Led

Hi Guys, Did someone say it was battery driven? I just use the battery symbol for power source in my drawing! If it is, it’s another ballgame! Lets hear what reneh has to say about it!

Hi reneh, Welcome to our forum. Will this work for you?

    basics of electrical supply

Hi aakaash, It sounds disastrous to me; you might get away with it if it was DC if you had a resistor in line with it but AC…no way! If the frequency is of sync, high current flows and something will blow! Maybe your inverter has some kind of sync for 50 or 60 Hz and voltage correction in it? ???

Hi aakaash, I don’t think it’s wired that way, it would be disastrous. :o

    Wind power generator project

Yes that’s right, and when I think about it should be even better with two paralleled steppers. If the steppers are mechanically connected with one in “rest” between magnets and the other one on “top” of the magnets there will be twice as many pulses coming out of the eight rectifies. Right? ;)

    Wind power generator project

Hi Alun, Yes you are correct; the periods overlap each other. To make a good alternator you should try to find steppers with stiff magnets. There is a big difference in the output (as alternator) between different steppers.

Does anybody know IC for Amper meter?

Hi Alun, If the wire is extremely short it might require a more delicate solution but it will work. I have used 30cm of a 50sq mm wire for measuring the current (0 – 500ADC) with no big problems. I also have had some issues with unreliable hall sensors in the same range of current! 8)

    transformer parts

These pulses must be very short or smoke and acid splash will come from DocOc’s place! 300V @ 22A...holy smoke! :o

    Wind power generator project

Yes, the frequency is high that’s why the ripple is low. The caps don’t have to be nearly as big as with 50 or 60Hz. Brushless is maintenance free!  ;D

Does anybody know IC for Amper meter?

Or, you can just omit the current sense resistor and use the wire if you don’t want the extra voltage drop. Alun’s circuit will work with only the wire as shunt resistor.  8)

    Good book for beginners?

Hi ammd, Welcome to our forum. You can start with downloading these six books : http://www.ibiblio.org/obp/electricCircuits/ When you have learned everything from them, just let us know and we find some more for you! ;D

    Wind power generator project

Hi Alun, I used small bridge rectifiers, four of them for each 6 wire stepper. You can do this in more ways than one, here are some examples. The one I used is the four bridge one!

    12 volt battery charger

Hi tnk2k, Sorry to hear about your motorcycle battery! I don’t think it’s a problem if you connect a dead battery to this charger, it will probably never start and not blow the fuse!

    Wind power generator project

Hi Steve, The steppers put out about 20V with no load on the rectifiers. The battery was fully charged every time he came to the cabin so I don’t know exactly the charge time. The battery served some florescent light tubes a CB-radio and most important his coffee machine. The highest current we...

Hi thunder, If the equipment has a name and number on it try to Google it and you might find a manual for it. Or go to the manufacturer’s homepage and you will find the necessary info. 8)
