    Hard to find IC?

Hi Guys, Does anyone know where to buy an L146 IC? This has the same pin config and function as the easily available LM723 but for a higher voltage (60V). Thanks!  :)

Sequential Timers with PWM Motor Speed Control

Somehow I knew you would like the “birds view” idea! Seriously, this model plane is not constructed for radio control then?  It would be interesting to see a simple radio control circuit grow from scratch though! I hope you get some nice flying whether soon so we can have pictures! Good luck...

Hi Alun, Why not use modern components like mosfets instead? Or an LM2931-5?

Hi Alun, The old 555 will not blow the mains fuse because of its higher current consumption! ;D

    Camping Music Box - PROJECT

Hi stu, You can buy two small 12V 17Ah sealed lead acids and wire them in series, that will keep the losses low since you can use 24V without and DC-DC converter. Or, you can buy a boat battery with a handle 12V 75Ah and use conventional car stereo parts in your box. Solar panels are still...

Sequential Timers with PWM Motor Speed Control

Hi Audioguru, Nice circuit, especially the ingenious timer setup! Must be quite a big plane having a 10” prop! For how long can these small AAA cells provide trust before they go below 5.6V since you only got 7.4V to begin with? Maybe you should use AA cells instead, or they would be to heavy...

    stepdown current

Hi alkv, You like to step down these voltages not currents. The question is: how much current do you need on those voltages? If the current requirements are not too high, you should look at LM7809, LM7812 and LM317 for a start.

relays - SPST, SPDT, DPST, DPDT?

In some applications it’s also important to know if the switch is a”make before brake” or”brake before make” type. This is to prevent unwanted arcing or glitches in the circuit.

    Assisting the troops question

If you want to blow the devices before you “step” on them, I have seen someone (on a web page) using a magnetron from a microwave to zap a running computer a couple of meters away! The magnetrons in your average micro might not be strong enough for (ground work) but bigger are made for other...

I Have Been Trying to Find Manual but.......

Hi, It is probably a bad solder joint or lose connector since it works after a while. If it run ok after some time try some freeze-spray on the boards. Does everything go out or just the light, and for how long? Do you have to restart or does it revive itself?  8)
