Why do I see random people on websites giving answers that make no sense?

What you have to realize that many out there obtain there knowledge of a certain subject etc from the internet itself and not from a formal training in the subject. They believe it to be plausible and appears to come from someone proclaiming certain knowledge so they honestly believe it to be...

    DC current help

To me it is the nail and foil is part of the coil circuit, so when the coil energizes it lifts the armature (nail) and breaks the circuit, it is a simple vibrator put to use for etching or punch engraving of a sorts. IOW the armature is also a circuitconductor M..

Programming - Solenoid valve in an irrigation system

How is reading RA2 get you the humidity, it is an output to the relay. You will need sensor of some kind. But if you haven't done any programming you have to get that out of the way first. M.

ac motor pump control using microcontroller ?

As mentioned, 2n7000 The motor is fed direct with the neutral and the live conductor is switched by one pair of N.O. contacts. Live in - motor out. See fig 2 you can eliminate the LED and resistor if not needed. M.

How to stop a motor from running when it is physically stopped

You don't mention the type of motor, e.g. a DC motor will be braked by placing a short circuit across the terminals when stopped, this would need to be interlocked with the power supply to prevent both conditions at once of course. A stepper motor also has maximum torque at zero rpm, and can be...

ac motor pump control using microcontroller ?

I would tend to use a 2n7000 for Q1, also for that small a relay you may want to use a R/C snubber across the contacts. M.

Is it my transformer or rectifier?

IMO if the unit has a 25a breaker then any breaker ahead of it should be at least 25a or greater (30a). It is beginning to look like normal inrush more and more? M.

Is it my transformer or rectifier?

Any fusing on the primary side needs to be slo-blo fuses. The no load voltage is normal, depending also on the supply voltage. Toroids particularly have a high inrush current, this is compounded when large capacitors are powered at switch on, this prolongs the inrush current. M.

110 to 12 volts reduction help

You don't say if you need regulated or simple linear supply, linear is the simplest to build. See http://www.hammondmfg.com/tech.htm http://www.hammondmfg.com/5CHook.htm For DC you need a simple bridge and a capacitor, if regulation is needed then you can use one of the 78xx series of...

    Motor to 3phase connection compatability

The RPC uses a standard 3phase motor, it is ran directly off of 240v 1ph with a phase shift capacitors to the 3rd phase. I have had one in my shop for about 15yrs off of the Fitch Williams well known design. M.
