    Three Tank Control System

The problem could be getting proportional direct acting valves from Danfoss. Suggest you contact your local Danfoss dealer to see if they have something suitable. Is it possible to increase the water head height?

    Three Tank Control System

"EV260B, Servo-operated 2-way proportional solenoid valves Diff. pressure 0,5 - 10 bar Diff. pressure 7,3 - 145,0 psi" That is a servo assisted valve that requires 0.5Bar/7psi to operate correctly. 12cm head will not give the minimum pressure required.

    Three Tank Control System

From my previous post.... "Your link is to the solenoid coil only, not the valve. I can only see "300-600 mA pilot signal", not 4-20mA? What is the full part number on the valve? http://products.danfoss.com/productrange/industrialautomation/solenoid-valves/#/

    Three Tank Control System

My guess is that you are using "servo assisted valves" rather than "direct acting valves". Servo assisted valves use the pressure from the input to assist the valve to open. As Harald noted, the "P" valve has pump pressure applied to it and it works correctly. The three "S" valves only have a...

    Three Tank Control System

What is the water flow like if you directly connect the valve inlet and outlet hoses together to bypass the valves? If the flow is good, the valves are the restriction. If not, it is a mechanical/plumbing issue, eg low pressure, hose restriction, vacuum lock(sealed tanks), etc. Can you give...

    12VDC Backup supply

Do you have a link to the specifications for the GPS? Is the GPS the type that waits on standby and only wakes up when you send it a text? It replies with a message containing GPS location coordinates, and then goes back to sleep. This type can safely be connected directly to the battery.

    Generac generator output

My guess would be that the generator is running at about 56Hz, instead of 60Hz. Get it tested while under load to confirm. "....if it varies more than 1 or 2 the unit would automatically shut down." Generators are not set this fine for under frequency.

Need help with buzzer in LED automotive turn signal circuit

Old English car with red stop lights as rear indicators to suit USA market, instead of the normal amber indicators. Simple way is to feed the buzzer through a couple of diodes from the left and right indicator wires to the indicator relay. The negative of the buzzer goes to ground/chassis...

    Tractor fuel sender not working

"Fuel sender? You mean the fuel METER sender? or the fuel PUMP?" As advised, a non operating fuel gauge on the dash won't usually prevent the engine from running. The exception would be if the fuel tank unit, or gauge, is linked to the engine control system to stop the engine before it totally...

Connecting ZNR Surge absorbers to protect E27 LED bulb

John, why do you want to fit a surge absorber? The bulb won't work if it doesn't have a return path through the N line. For safety the switched L wire should be connected to the centre contact, not the threaded bulb holder.

    Relay & switch wiring

Not unusual for four 21W bulbs to be a bit hard on the switch, causing it to fail prematurely. Second diagram shows the correct way to connect the relay, but the four bulbs are in parallel, not series as drawn. As duke advised. a diode should be connected across the relay coil to protect the...

Variable Voltage Lab Power Supply Using PSU

Hi Peter, Sorry I haven't replied earlier to your semi-negative comments regarding my project. It has been getting quite a bit of use at home and at work. Beats hunting around for the correct voltage wall wart to run something. As I said at the start, the unit was made to help me with the...

    Flashing 12v To Constant

The flasher unit is in the supply line to the turn switch, so just remove it and join the two wires on it together. You will now get a constant 12v out of the turn switch for left and right.

Delay timer relay control connection problem

Shift the +12v from Normally Closed to Common. Shift the fish feeder from Common to Normally Open. Apply a brief +12v pulse to the Trigger Line. Q1 - Does the circuit board power the fish feeder for 10 seconds and then switch off? Now apply +12v to the Trigger Line for 1 minute. Q2 - Does the...

Dither for PWM circuit driving a proportional solenoid

Just wondering if you are overcomplicating your project? Have you observed stiction in your project? All the proportional hydraulic solenoid valves that I work on in earthmoving/construction machines have a steady PWM frequency and just vary the duty cycle.
