    Putting resistors in is a futile exercise as the audio power will simply be dissipated in the resistor rather than at the speaker. Note also that speakers are measured in 'impedance', not specifically a 'resistance'.

    No they didn't. One battery will inevitably fail before the rest - the odds on them all failing at the same time are incredibly remote and when ONE fails it causes the remaining cells to be placed under stress and liable to more failures ad infinitum.

    Your schematic shows you using a BLUE wire for the PWM signal - if this is what you're doing then it's wrong as the PWM is supposed to attach to the YELLOW wire. The blue wire is a signal OUT of the fans for monitoring purposes.
