    Without getting my opinion blown to pieces, in some cases you can use a DC supply for AC powered equipment. Get the proper adapter first and then go from there. Martin

    Are you saying the G4 LED in your lamp is labelled 3.7V?. The G4 I looked up was 12V. The circuitry will almost definitely have a boost converter. Martin
