    Fix A Noisy Refrigerator

Reason enough to close the thread IMHO.

    RGB Laser Power Board Issue

Sounds logical - they are 'only' diodes so can be tested like any other LED using (most) test meters - note, some diode test meters don't have sufficient Vf to show the higher volt drops across green/blue diodes.

    RGB Laser Power Board Issue

All the AC outputs are paralleled so if 'one' output (the 5V DC power supply feed) drops to 1.5VAC, why don't they ALL? Maybe they do - you didn't say..... It can point to a poor connection between the plug/socket leading to the 5V DC power pack (resolder all pcb joints and test reliability of...

Triac Ramp Up & Down Circuit

This is usually achieved by pulse modulation of the gate. Google ''slow start" circuits.

    Electrolytic capacitors: Opinion required please

    That burned board? Pure carbon?

    Electrolytic capacitors: Opinion required please

Providing you adhere to the polarity...... and there isn't another fault external to the capacitors.

    Fix A Noisy Refrigerator

.....tap, knock, rumble, hiss, pip or tick.....? If it has a fan (some do) do the blades rotate without hitting anything? Is the fan working ok (i.e. bearings)? The compressor is physically isolated from the metalwork by rubber bushings. One may have failed. Similarly, a lot of the freezer...

    Need help in identifying component

CLEAN THE AREA!!!!! I, honestly, can't make out squat from those pictures. You seem to have SIX pads that are grounded plus 'others' for in/out - for a 6-pin chip????????? There may even be tracks under the enormous solder blobs that are all over the place for all I can tell. IF your theory...

    Heat sink calculation

meaningless to 99.9% of people - what IS that???? meaningless to 99.9% of people - what IS that???? meaningless to 99.9% of people - what IS that???? what diagram? Show it..... If they needed heatsinks they'd have been fitted with them. but WHAT'S THE LOAD? Without schematics this is all...

    Need help in identifying component

I'd start by cleaning the solder, flux and carbon residue from the board so you can see what's what first....

    New house...wired IR sensor...need help

It would appear that the cut ends would have simply terminated in IR LED emitters that would be placed in front of the appropriate equipment IR ports. They may or may not require series resistors too. Suggest you wire a 'basic' IR LED emitter with a 1k series resistor and see if it works...

12v dc to 10v dc converter

You might struggle with the standard LM7810 regulator as the battery voltage may fall enough to prevent proper regulation. An LDO (low drop out) regulator would be preferred HOWEVER we need more details on the actual charger arrangement as the 10V requirement may not be a strict value. Google...

    Cheapest bank checks?

A cheque (check) can be written on 'anything' - literally - so design and print your own! Use your imagination - be innovative or be 'cheeky'!! I used to print them for my son (25+ years ago now! - he's 30 this year) for him to play 'shop' with but, obviously, used fabricated numbers!

    Need help in identifying component

Not a TVS diode - possibly a twin MOSFET package but....man..., that's taken some battering! How you can read any data from that package is a mystery! It MIGHT be the same device as the one below it but that's pure guesswork. You could determine it from the schematic but the chance of finding...

    Cheapest bank checks?

Show me a link to any site that doesn't take electronic payment. I want it for 'posterity sake'..... I admit to using checks (infrequently) but only to sources that I want to 'deliberately' delay payments to! The 'oh, I forgot to sign it/date it/write the amount/lost in the post...' method...

    Technics Receiver SA-600 Repair

Just to re-iterate.... My bold But that aside..... if you have two channels (one working) then comparisons are straightforward. If you've blown the 'other' channel by 'accidental' methods then you've got bigger issues that may require the schematic to resolve. Can you provide a link to the...
