    Capacitor with ground hat.

Never seen such an arrangement before! Looks to me to be 'audiofoolery' as the cap is isolated from the body of the capacitor. Remove the cap and see how the system operates - I suspect you won't notice any difference. Worst case is you could fabricate a new 'hat' to fit a different capacitor...

How do I use a multimeter?

How much is the keyboard worth to you? How much would it cost to get a replacement? Weigh up the cost of a (decent) multimeter and the time taken to learn how to use it you MAY be able to purchase a replacement for a lot less.....

Philco ac outdoor unit PCB ce-kfr90gw/i1y

You have two boards, one of which is 100% ok. It should be a simple matter to make comparative test between the two. Start by measuring the voltages around IC1 (appears to be a voltage regulator) then the transistors.

What is name of this component? Thx b4

Not a problem. That's a huge 'pile' of them - are they surplus stock? If you wanted to SELL them you'd have to get some specifications for them. You could do a lot of the work yourself - make a dimensional drawing, determine the connections and voltages etc, all quite easily achieved...

    Sony Trinitron BVM-1416P issues

The black stuff is just dust attracted 'electrostatically' by the insides. Not an issue unless it's really thick but a soft brush and vacuum will fix any issues there. What do you have externally that could cause the gaussing problem? Metal table? The degaussing circuit in professional...

I think that this is simple... but I know nothing!

Shifting a 'kilo -tops' at what speed? Practically any motor will shift a kilo weight - suitably geared down of course - but you might have to wait 'days' to get a meter distance if the motor is REALLY small....... Geared motors are available everywhere...

I need input on how to build a voltage supply circuit for LEDs using wind power.

You could make a system based on the maximum voltage output (and calculate the required series resistor using that voltage) and be sure that you'll never exceed the maximum parameters of any of the LEDs. You can parallel different LED colours and use separate resistors in each parallel branch -...

What type of battery is good for emergency power for blackouts?

The best power is always the most 'compact' power (bang for your buck) and in that sense it will always be a fossil fuel of some sort. If you have a LIMITED application for energy then you can look for 'worse' solutions but only the person in need can make the right decision.

What is name of this component? Thx b4

Yes, it's not a 'component' per se - but I also see it as an LED dot-array made for a specific purpose/application. Perhaps as an indicator in a laptop or something????

Gas diffusion - a question or two

Fogging is the OPs concern hence the gas filling which is fairly standard in DG units these days as well as providing additional heat resistance. Of course just hingeing the secondary pane would make access possible....

Help to identify and source fried component from Wireless Charger PCB

If you can physically fit a larger capacitor of a higher voltage then do so as it will reduce the stresses on it in operation.

Gas diffusion - a question or two

Get to your local glaziers and simply get them to make up sealed-unit double glazing for the size you want and replace the existing single panes. They do the gas filling, they seal them. Do it cheap, do it twice.

Help repairing Samsung VHS/DVD Combo - No power

That part number doesn't show me to be a MOSFET - it's a high voltage transistor: http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/108679/ETC/2SC4419.html in which case you could fit it into your tester by correct orientation and see if it 'passes' but the measurements you listed tell me it's ok.

How to create 3D omnidirectional antenna set?

Why three antennas? The radiation pattern of a dipole is (figuratively) a 'donut' shape with 360o coverage. Whilst there are two distinct null points (top and bottom) these would only be an issue for reception directly under/over the antenna and, even then, 'leakage' would probably make it a...

Help with a very simple rc circuit..

From your cryptic description I get the impression that the alarm INDICATOR is an LED that takes around 10mA (usually 20ma but...meh...) to activate and you want to use that 'signal' to drive a relay. Since the LED is pulsing at 1 second intervals you need a 'pulse extender' which otherwise...

Help to identify and source fried component from Wireless Charger PCB

It's a 0.33μF capacitor, fortunately not a surface mount device and readily available from most parts suppliers although 'we' haven't determined WHY it blew though!

Help repairing Samsung VHS/DVD Combo - No power

You can't test a MOSFET in a standard transistor socket..... The zener diode check looks to be dodgy - assuming the meter is being used correctly (have you checked the user manual for the correct operation of that mode?) You can use the diode check mode to test the MOSFET - check between all...
