    The 'curve' is otherwise known as an elbow joint. The only potential reason for stopped flow would be the restriction that elbow offers but that is practically zero for all intent and purpose. You've done something else - switched the power off perhaps?

    Defo sounds like a defect then. The only true way to test would be to use an oscilloscope to monitor the output waveform for stability and purity - probably beyond most people's normal acquisition - so I'd be looking to instigate the warranty.

    Make/model? We can't guess. Many claims for sine wave output are really 'modified sine wave' - it's cheating really. If the device states TRUE sine wave output you would need to prove this using an oscilloscope or just return it under warranty as not fit for purpose.

    Is the battery fully charged? Far from 'glowing' it should have turned bright white and burned out..... it's about 0.2Ω per foot so 50cm is under 2 feet therefore maximum 0.4Ω at 12V should flow 30A and dissipate 360W!!!

    Trace out the wiring as YOU have done it and derive a wiring schematic from it that we can look at. The photo's you show don't have enough information - i.e. can;t see the wires to the motor coils, can't see the contact arrangement under the white block etc.

    If the (missing) pad isn't part of a thru' hole then it won't be connected to any interlayers of the pcb - which is a good thing. What you don't show is the reverse of the board - we need to see a CLEAR and IN FOCUS image of the area around the damaged board and on both sides.
