    MOSFET Circuit Help

No doubt the OP has gone off to his boss to brag about his diagnostic skills........

    Identifying a chip

Is there any technical information on the machine at all? - even a block diagram? It doesn't look any more complicated than a simple PLC could control however given the multiplicity of programs being run it's no surprise to see it running via a PC. Lots of output drivers and a few feedback...

    MOSFET Circuit Help

This information would have been useful at the start of the thread then. We can only act on information received and if you want to keep salient facts to yourself what can you expect as an answer? Power the barometer independently. Does the fault still occur? Power the fan independently -...

PUPS Problems with Uninterruptible Power Supply

OK but We're still dancing around our handbags here. As mentioned more than once, unless we know the actual specifications of the device we're just throwing idea and suggestion into the pot to no reasonable conclusion. What you MUST do is have a baseline starting point in order for us to give...

Sony Watchman conversion for ATV reception

There was also no mention of whether the set is a multi-standard device either. The TV signals can vary in all ways - video/audio offset to name but one. The signal standard isn't really 'standard' at all. There are many! Finding the place to input composite video is about the only useful...

    Varying voltage

No. No. Yes. If you're going to do it, do it right.

    Old projector running wrong directions

AFAIK the feed spindle rotates counter-wise to maintain a constant tension on the reel. The film gate 'pulls' the film through via the sprockets - it needs manual loading and doesn't 'feed' through automatically. This is from a long-ago memory so if anyone can confirm this???

    Switching high currents

You can also parallel a load of (low Rds(on)) MOSFETs to get mahoosive current-handling capability.

The thickest winding - and lowest resistance - will be the secondary.

Help putting timer on my welder

There are a myriad of such devices in eBay - something like this for one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ADJUSTABLE-ON-OFF-REPEATER-ON-1-165-OFF-1-75s-CYCLIC-TIMER-SWITCH-RELAY-KIT-12V/271253822689?hash=item3f27fcdce1:g:DJYAAOSw4A5Yr3IA Change the preset resistors (time-setting) for full size...

    Replace variable capacitor with varicap

Replace VC1 with a series circuit consisting of your varicap (cathode to the 'top') and a capacitor. Apply your tuning voltage to the junction of the two via a series current limiting resistor (100k will do). The tuning range you get will depend on the capacitive swing of the varicap (depends...

    Fire Smoke Damage

Strap a sweaty sock under your nose. But on a more serious note - the device doesn't have any 'absorbent' surfaces so the smell can only be coming from residue. A simple clean-up, inside and out, should fix it.

How do I make my own musical instrument?

Got to admire the OP's determination here. The Mridangam is obviously one of the true sounds of Indian music and, as such, would be a popular (and profitable!) if it could be successfully synthesized. It's obviously possible to do it via sampling but getting it done in a form that can be...

    LCD display disappears

Place decoupling capacitors (10nF and 10μF) close to the power pins of the active devices (displays etc). Sounds as if there's some disruptive pulse getting fed into the display and making a reset condition happen (perhaps).

    Ultrasonic detector connections

The three-pin board has a single pin for 'send and listen' whilst the four pin board has separate pins for 'send' and 'listen'. Try reading the 'details' section of the listings.

Can I fix this old Pioneer SR303 Reverb myself?

Honest of you to be so forthright in your limitations regarding this repair and one of the first things I searched when reading this thread was the price of replacements and I saw some starting at $50 on eBay.... you could be lucky! But fixing a specific issue to get this one working doesn't...
