    Any regulator does not change the load. Unless it has little hands that can change the load for you. I think you mean change the current or voltage. A buck regulator will reduce the input voltage to a preset level. The PWM controls this voltage by changing its on and off times. Adam

    The benefit of a light sensor is it could also be used to stop people leaving the light on in the day when the light in the room is bright enough. saving even more power. Adam
