Very Basic circuit but I am struggling

Yes, indeed.. I just edited my post because the way he says that different call scenarios connect differently to the 6.35 stereo jack.

Very Basic circuit but I am struggling

I think Davenn was telling you that you need a forth wire for testing three cables. Your example of R, S and T would be the positive side of the led's. The forth wire would be the ' COMMON ' for all led's and through the resistor to the negative of the battery. Atleast that is how I understood...

AC circuit (120v single phase) smooth to a10 sec. average voltage sine wave

Politically correct. But aimed at me. BobK, you are absolutely correct. I have no idea. But suppressing the mains would smooth it and protect against voltage spikes too. At least that is what I have been told. If I am wrong, then I apologise. On the other hand, if you understand what the OP...

As per the first photo I posted, the board has a lot of room to accomadate a 'traditional' on-board fuse. This photo is both a 'traditional' and the component I have for size comparison.

Very intersting... Gonna pop this bugger and see what amperage makes it work. Thanks davenn.

OMG, that certainly makes sense but? Why the transistor body? Why the flat front? I have some through hole fuses here now. They are round, light brown-ish/red with T 3.15a or what ever. Very interesting though and would explain my OL measurements. Incidently, if N5 = 500ma why not N25 =2500ma...

AC circuit (120v single phase) smooth to a10 sec. average voltage sine wave

Sorry Adam. Could not resist this.. You may require a filter like these. 1st is on-board filter and 2nd wires into plug..

@ Hevans1944 I checked it as one would do a diode check (continuity) and beeped both ways. Only difference is lead to lead of meter was 0,2 and across the Item was 0.7 both ways. Still, both are OL I think.

No problem. It's still a good way to learn.. I learnt how to re-size a photo from my usb microscope. Gotta love this forum! If only these forums were around in '84' when I failed my part two electronics on maths.

Sorry Adam, I quoted at the bottom of the pics that the three legged 114 1431A was for size comparison only. I believe it to be a TO-90 package. Oops, TO-30

The 114 is size comparison only. The other has N25S and same size. @ Adam. windows live does it too..

Sure Hevans1944, thanks. It was a dvd player switch mode power supply so infra red diode very unlikely.... I will post a pic of the said items and board tomorrow. Have to work out how to post a pic!!

Slow blow or fast blow fuse?

Hi Kaborex. If I may interject here? I have four of these speakers with the same problem as you. Kept blowing the SLOW BLOW fuses instantly. I had a neighbour take a look at one and he said it was the inverter side causing the fuses to blow. He is NO electronics genious, just way better than...

    LED sign help

I have just built (copied) this scenario (circuit) from a youtuber. Works as you want it, led matrixes. Only difference is it uses a 555 and a cd4017 counter. Very easy circuit and very cheap to build. It just utilizes transistors to drive the higher output led matrix.
