    The 2 that get very hot... Either they're damaged (got info on them? ) Or whatever is firing them off is damaged? I'd pull them out and measure the diode drop/test for shorts (as suggested already you have working ones to compare against)

    I suppose one easy solution. .. Plug the blinker ac plug into the wall, plug an extension block into the blink plug, then run the lights from the power block... Then add a 240vac lamp/Edison bulb to the mix for extra current, paint the bulb green and red or something lol

    It supplies 9v ac not DC. .. Set your multimeter to AC mode, then you will read between 9 - 12vac I doubt it's dead, can't say the same for the thing you tried powering though lol

    Which IC is driving the dimming Display? Could be faulty or the LEDS were over driven and they gradually faded

    Oh they're safer if 1. You don't charge to a higher voltage than rated, Eg 9v cap will die possibly explode if you supply say 15v, and don't wire them up back to front unless you enjoy fire crackers going off...

    Capacitors can be dangerous.... high voltage ones 100+ can kill you if the cap discharges through your body .. Under 50v or so, caps with enough storage capacity can burn you.. I have a few 350F 2.5v caps I'm still undecided on what to do with yet, charging them safely is the only thing...

    I've repaired so many bad caps it's not funny, tv's amplifiers, even washing machines! Saved $$$'s :) But what you paid for was the experience as the parts would have cost them less than a dollar most likely to fix...

I had a 5mw pointer taken off me by customs but in the same package just the laser / module no case no spring ... and because there was no markings on the 80mw laser they...

    You might want to cut the 5v coming out your phone completely, leave ground/black cable alone relying on the external power source, or leave it in to charge your phone! Maybe a diode.....

    Fast charging is not good for cells... When charging batteries, heat generated is simply wasted energy thanks to the internal resistance at play... Lower currents keeps heat down, cheaper to charge, and less stress means they last longer and hold more charge... But, a 1000ma battery rating...
