    Depends on many aspects of the installation. Battery type ..... Regulator arrangement....monitored installation or standalone.... Wind generators in small scale invariably simply do not work. Usually due to how much wind blows ( or as in most installations, doesn't blow as expected)

    Parelallel 12v is still 12v.....no good for 24v.....series gen sets might give you a headache also... re. Regulation. Don't know what your reference to batteries rated at 12A means....usually they are rated at Ah.

    Now I know some are going to have a good laugh, but in some instances, (using the right iron heat of course) I have used the workshop compressor to blow out any stubborn holes. Just keep your bare feet well clear though........:oops:

    without any bias on the base as your drawing shows, then one has to assume the transistor is kaput. Either that or you have a pnp transistor.

    Have no idea why it should be shielded, however, 2.5sqmm will handle 15A ok depending on how far you intend to run the cable.
