Help with sensing a stopped sprocket

Good past-time.....great work by the way. Don't seem to get the free time like i used to though. When making mine I also built a crank grinder that runs a home built PLC and also a cam grinding machine that was built up from bits and pieces from old commercial printers etc. Along with scrap...

Help with sensing a stopped sprocket

Yes, in a fashion. Mine are made by hand using an ML10 Myford and a chinese mill. I do the casting, machining of all parts pretty much except for the bearings and the screws. Here is the part of the drawing I was referring to. From memory it runs on 5V. Uses an opto out of a printer...

Help with sensing a stopped sprocket

I used a "missing pulse" arrangement on a crankshaft grinder I built for miniature engines a few years back. It was used as a "shutdown sequence initializer". It was a fairly simple arrangement. I'll see if i can find my drawings.

    Need motor specification

Apparently 3v minimum, 5v nominal, 7.2v max and rated current 0.74A. (depends what voltage and load I guess but that's all I can make out) https://ru.aliexpress.com/item/2pcs-Japan-370-Motor-model-aircraft-speed-dc-motor-RK-370SD-4530-4035-3550/32691945584.html

Electromagnet V vs Amp vs Turns?

    10W = 10Volts * 1 Amp Resistance therefore is E/I = 10V/1A =10R Same 10R coil 20W = V squared /R 20 = Vsquared / 10R transposing......... 200 = V squared so square root 200 = V V = 14.142 volts Point being, one does not double the voltage to get double the power.

    LG TV started smoking

Those are 18mm diameter and you will more than likely have trouble physically fitting them in the space. Better to go with #2.................. or ..................for el cheapo from ebay..... http://www.ebay.com/itm/5Pcs-Electrolytic-Capacitors-450V-47uF-Volume-10x50-mm-47uF-450V-/271930137278

    10 watts is 10 watts . That's the power of each. Same...same.

tip...similar on how friction causes heat.....now apply to an electrical circuit.

Electromagnet V vs Amp vs Turns?

    For basics, one could say 10W =10V * 1A Resistance of that circuit would be R=E/I = 10/1 = 10R. Take that 10R and apply 20volts I=E/R = 20/10 = 2Amps Watts = VA in DC so 20 * 2 is now 40 Watts.

Motor wiring diagram makes no sense

It's not a "point to point" wiring diagram but rather a "representation". The part you are referring to shows the wiring for x is a star connrction and below that you will see a similar arrangement for a delta connection.

    Stair Ways light controller

Multi-way switching using intermediate and two way switches, wiring is strappers (2 core)between intermediates. Depending on existing arrangement, either switch wire from one end and active from the other or run either switch wire or active with the strapper. Get an electrician basically.

    Buck converter help

If you built the generator, then show the generator circuit. Being a "generator" can take many forms and a solution may be in that section alone. Charging a 12v battery does not require 50 volts.( or 100 for that matter)
