    Difference Between 5K and 10K?

You will have to provide your schematic for any answer to that.

    Troubleshooting welder wire speed control

All you are looking for initially is an open circuit or a short ( the latter was in my case) Set multimeter to diode test and check each one, one way and then the other. A good diode may read around 350 one way and maybe 1100 the other.

    Troubleshooting welder wire speed control

Did a similar wire feeder not long ago and it was a crook zener. Looks like at least one on the underside, did you check these at all?

Arduino + Relay(220V) Problem.. Need Help!

Just wondering what the usb lead is doing in the photo. Are you trying to monitor something while powering from the transformer? Do you realise you cannot power from 2 sources?

Googled for specs on PICLF1936 but nothing comes up. Are you sure you have the correct PIC number?

Gate automation system - Motors open but do not close.

Two cables shown are from the start capacitors. Motor wiring would be lower down in the terminal strip.

Need help with battery power for my project

Does the servo have to maintain position while in the "off" mode? Specs do indeed say 4.8v to 7.2v supply although one has to remember batteries have a high voltage initially so as AlecT says, stick to the lower 6v. The 2.5A is it's stall current and the servo has a rating of 11kg/cm @ 6v...

    Stepper motor or Servo?

Relay I showed was a double pole if that's what you are referring to. As far as controlling with the Arduino, a relay can be driven from an Arduino output via a transistor or a small mosfet quite simply. Output of it would then replace the "start button". There are other ways but this is simple...

    Stepper motor or Servo?

Just a quick idea...do not know what drives your "request to rotate" (start button) but with a small relay if a micro then simple or if from a 555 astable, simple also.

    Stepper motor or Servo?

Permanent magnet motor I was referring to just an everyday hobby type dc motor ......apply a battery and it runs, reverse the battery and it runs reverse. With the slot type sensors, one uses a vane to interrupt the output from the LED and blocks it arriving at the transistor i.e. turning off...

    Stepper motor or Servo?

I've used optical switches as Bob suggested and found them to be extremely accurate. In my application (cam and crankshaft grinders for miniature engines) they repeatedly operate within 1 thou/ inch. The type are the slot optical switches as found in old printers, scanners etc. They come as a...

    Transformer question

76 * 38 to me would seem like the physical size. Other than that I don't read Chinese so not much help there. For actual electrical size you need a VA figure.(volt amp) I'd be doing a test on it before going any further. Simple whiff test first to see if it might be burned-up and then a...

Trap Door Project: DC BATTERY BACKUP for 12VDC Linear Actuator

12v battery with a trickle charger connected to the mains. One question though, how are you going to repair the setup if anything should go belly-up since you have "everything housed behind the trapdoor". A bit like having a safe with the spare key or the combination locked inside.

    Which Microcontrollers to get?

One can "roll their own" using the board you referred to plus a few other components BUT .... you can also buy a "clone Uno " that will get you going quite ok for probably less than the price of the piece of proto-board...
