Informative discussion but their critical concepts that discussion does not address. Therefore, I will.

Sulphur Hexa Fluride (SF6).
Is colorless, odorless, inert & non-poisonous!A failure in that discussion. But it is a greenhouse gas.
SF6 form corrosive, metal fluorides, each and every time they suppress an arc. You may be well within serviceable lifetime maintenance is critical.
Do you use dead tank enclosure at ground potential?
Or live tank enclosure at line potential?
Until you address my questions, there’s no need to continue, after all , it is your grid station. Not you! but your superiors are incompetent.

This isnt the forum to discuss such high voltage systems
It should be looked at by professionals in that field
