Does this blown fuse come out?

Can anyone explain how to remove this fuse?
My wife brought home this x-acto pencil sharpener and said fix it. er, OK.
I found this blow fuse, but knowing nothing about circuit stuff, I have no idea how to get it out
Does the whole fuse with stems come out, then re-solder a new one in? Where would I get one?

You remove it by un-soldering it, then you solder in a new one.

The end caps (the ones with wires) can be pried off from the rest of the 5 x 20 mm (european) fuse, then you can just press in an ordinary fuse, without soldering.
Depending on size tolerances you may have to crimp the end caps slightly though to make them grab the new fuse tightly.
One of the end caps of the fuse itself will have the value imprinted. The important stuff is the number in front of the A, and if there's a T or an F there.

Is there a similar fuse I can use as a replacement?
Is the size 5x20?

Fast Blow

A fast blow, 1/3 amp fuse will work. As stated before the end caps pry off. Since the fuse is already bad you could crush the fuse to ease extraction but take care not to break off those end caps or to get broken glass in your eyes. Pliers and needle nose pliers are your friends here.
