can you help me with the new transformer 40 : 230
The turns ratio is 4 : 23, so the inductance ratio for LTspice will be the square of that, i.e. 16 : 529.
work out the max power that this circuit produces please? and the current too?
See post #717 for the power per coil. Multiply by 8. Current depends on load, which will vary with motor type and speed.

can you tell me how to read the readings this is from the top right in the schematic below out of the 8!! I don't know how to read this!!!1727112004288.png

Your sim coils and voltage sources have zero resistance, so give totally unrealistic resultIs.
Ctrl+ left-click in the title of a waveform plot will give a drop-down box with average and rms values of a waveform.

why is it negative?? and so does that mean 95watt with the rest of the coils summed up? that is good! going to try and get a PWL file from my scope so I can simulate with an actual waveform from an actual coil!!, thanks

when I, alt + left click the one in the red circle it says "V(N002,N005)*I(V7)" at the top of the sim window. Also I've included the asc file of where I'm at1727201115478.png1727201148537.png

The "-" is because V7 is sourcing power.
Most of the available power is being dissipated by L1.
Now give your voltage sources and transformer coils some realistic internal resistance.

so if I measure the actual resistance of a coil and the resistance of the transformer windings, that would help? I can do that tonight or for definite tomorrow!

ok I'll get the resistance's and go from there!! thanks
there anyway to calculate the inductance?? without knowing the number of turns?
I have a meter that measures capacitance not sure if it does inductance too!!

ok so the power coils have a resistance of 2.5ohm each! the primary winding 230VAC side is 3.0ohm and the secondary 40VAC side resistance 0.1ohm

so my meter does do impedance and I found the formula L = Z/2pi * f take more readings tomorrow! where do you put the inductance in for the coils?? and I took it the the resistance is around 15% less than the impedance using those figures, the coils are 2.5ohm - inductance 9.36mH, the primary coil on transformer resistance 0.1ohm - inductance 0.376mH. secondary on transformer resistance 3ohm inductance 11.24mH, thanks
