Hi Guys,
Here is a little test for you with a circuit that I found and it might even be one of our projects.
What is wrong with it?

There is nothing wrong with the circuit. If you look at the data sheet you will see why. The + and - markings on the schematic are mis labeled. Breadboarding the circuit shows that it will work.

MOERATOR'S NOTE:

The + and - markings have been fixed on the schematic on this site.
The Bill of Materials now lists the IC as a comparator, not an op-amp.

If you have built this circuit and used the bill of materials and pinout of the schematic, you would not have noticed anything wrong. If you are going to build this circuit, please disregard the earlier posts since the problems noted no longer exist.
