Powered up no problem but green gun was bad. Replaced green gun now powers
on and clicks right back off. Guns dont even have time to fire up. Could
this problem be caused by the new gun or do I have another problem on my
hand. Checked caps all check good and dont seem to find in dry joints

Most likely you have something shorted! If you took a tube from another set,
it is possible that it is also defective... Did you disconnect it, or put
back the old one to see if the set powers back up or not?

It is the the same gun I had it sent in to be rebuilt.

I've had two cold solder joints in the life of my 4044 (still going strong
after 15 years!... er.. knock on wood). If my memory serves me right, one
of which would cause the set to turn off right after power up... and it was
in the video circuit. It started out where it would turn off after a period
of time, and kept getting shorter and shorter. I think also the image would
become distorted on the right side before shutting down.

So, this might not be your problem, but I wonder if certain production runs
of the boards were prone to cold solder joints. Luckily I was able to trace
them down on my own. So, perhaps swapping the gun put stress on one of the
boards and opened something up.
