  1. Stuee, What kind of power requirement does the projector have? And what kind of power supply input does it have (transformer of switch mode)? Do you need a timer for cooling the print head? Why no just put a micro switch (a small one like in VCR: s) at the park position and let a small fan blow while in park position?
  2. Dazza, in a microwave oven the lower power settings is accomplished by switching the magnetron on and off (pulsing). Still during the
  3. Audioguru, You are correct about the over rated power but 30W (71%eff) output requires no heat what so ever. The text does not reveal anything about the input power required for full output power. I
  4. Merrill, Try this one; the potentiometer can be adjusted for reliable toggling. You can use 40106, 74LS14 or 74LS132 and many others if you don
  5. Jay, The data sheet for the LM317 has info on the 220/240R issue and even the bypass transistor circuit. Tony Van Roon:s page is also valuable info. If you need to go down to zero volts I would not recommend using diodes. It

  7. Dazza, here are some links about microwaves. This guy Sam, he
  8. Yes John, this will disable the starter switch as soon as the alternator is charging.
  9. Ammar, I know that they are using laser guns to measure the speed! ;D
  10. Hi Suraj, How do you explain that the cops measure your speed with a laser? They don
  11. AJB2K3, Alkaline cells are 1.5V! NiCd cells are 1.2 Volts!
  12. Hi Audioguru, No tan so far, but a swim to Greece would have given you a tan for sure! I have been there; Greece is fantastic, very nice people and good food unlike the French. Of curse there are room for improvement in these circuits but its something to start with don

  15. stuee, Here is a solution for the 12 to 19Volt issue. If you have problems reading any part of it, please let me know and I will help. [attachment deleted by admin]
  16. Dazza, Lets try to build one module at a time and interface them together along the way one by one. Then we take care of the different issues as they intervene. What do you think? ;D
  17. Well this is the way it is: For every transformation of energy there are losses. Even a piece of copper wire has its resistance and there are not much you can do about that. If putting together things like motors, capacitors, inverters, alternators, and generators they all add to the losses.
  18. This is the first time I have seen anyone using a neon lamp to protect a 2N3055, interesting! It
  19. Shakeel, What you are looking for is a PIR detector. Search Google for
  20. Ok, where do I start? Well I think R1 is not supposed to be paralleled with the wire that comes from Q2: s collector!? The inverting input of U3 (pin2) will not have any reference besides the voltage from R1 (floating?) and U3 will die from a voltage this much higher than its supply I guess. Q5 will have to carry all the current for the pre start reaction
