    Water level meter

If you intend putting a level sensor in the reserve tank it will not work as you expect when a system leak is present. Look up how these systems work to get an understanding of why. Distilled water is not going to work either. Probes in my application were, as already quoted in my reply above...

My air purifier fans won't turn anymore, making humming noise

If the shaft is not cleaned the dry debris will pick up when the oil hits it and it'll lock up again. If you don't want oilite bearing type motor, replace with ball bearing type. I have never really found it necessary though. Waste power...??? it's a 15w motor ....geeess....!! Get real.

My air purifier fans won't turn anymore, making humming noise

As shown above, the shaded pole motor has oilite bushes which dry out and cause the shaft to seize. Remedy is to disassemble the motor taking care to introduce some light machine oil so as not to damage the bearing. Clean the shafts both ends with fine (400 grit) wet or dry sandpaper, oil up the...

    Tachometer help

Mainly because the Arduino experts reside there. I would have thought that would be obvious. First thing they will comment on is lack of comment. One of the first rules a beginner must follow if any resemblance of tracking program at a future date possible. Obviously did not read my earlier...

    Tachometer help

No idea what you mean "code will not transfer to my LCD". You supply no code example or what it was designed for, what you have tried in applying the code or any test setup diagrams. A quick search for Piaggio Porter brings up many examples, so no idea which one do you have. In my experience...

    Tachometer help

That will be your first hurdle as will be your apparent knowledge of English . The latter being a programming requirement as syntax is important. Other than that, if you have 3 cylinder 2 stroke it may be 3 firings per rev. If a 4 stroke then 3 firings per 2 revs. There are plenty of tacho...

    SM12 ?

Started to see some LED units with only the one ic driven from 220v AC, no other driver gear. Seem to be known as "smart ic" LED driver. Haven't seen much more on the particular ic though.

Regulator to limit 12v DC current

Pretty simple to knock up a current control using a 317 regulator and a couple of fixed resistors a pot and a couple of caps. Plenty of circuits on the web.....look up LM317 variable current regulator circuit.

    LED driver - critical match?

Can you provide a link to the particular lamp you are using. If it is the particular MR16 lamp I'm thinking of with inbuilt control, it can be simply run off the old MR16 dichoric transformer.

    Reducing battery charger output

Charge current should be able to be reduced using some means of voltage control. i.e. the smaller the voltage difference between the charger and the battery, the smaller the charge rate. Problem could come from just what type of charger you have if considering any active electronic component as...

Need help with Arduino Code for coil winder

Seems the Op does not have any code. Only a vague idea of keypad inputs. There are Arduino controlled winders out there with differing ways to control the winding speed and keep track of the number of turns. Some have ways to advance the feed rate to allow for different size winding wire. Check...

Need help with Arduino Code for coil winder

There was a problem yonks ago where FTDI changed windows drivers (pc operator had no idea) in a windows update. The reason was to stop people using their drivers on clone boards. Turned out to be illegal and they had to re-instate a fix back to what was. If you are using an old windows machine...

building a noise activated sensor to record the noise and duration the noise is made

Usually run into this problem when I'm in Thailand. Barking dogs and LOUD LOUD music that thumps away from perhaps 9pm to 4am, depending on the celebration. Many there suggested a mattress against the window, failing that, as the vibrations rattle the windows and any loose roofing iron, the...
