    Perhaps someone local. I like to post ads on craigslist or freecycle that say "free for parts or repair" Usually it's gone within a few hours. It's nice to see things get recycled/reused rather than going to the landfill.

    I interpret it as 2v min to 4.4v max input. Installed on the load end it should do the job but it's only good for about 10ma. Perhaps that's too wimpy for the load.

    I didn't say I don't believe you, it's just much higher than we're use to on this side of the ocean. Your Au/Nz rules are a lot closer to UK codes than how we do things here, but if we're are all clear on design and terminology we can still arive with the same answers (regardless of location)...
