    Wagner Steam Cleaner Handle Overheating

The 2nd review on Amazon about 'A' wagner steamer says- "The handle got hot after using it for a short time. It was not uncomfortably hot, but close to it." Here Hot to some may be warm to others. Do you perhaps have a thermometer to measure the handle temperature?. I have seen these units with...

How to connect piezo speakers to an amplifier

That's the point of using a 'mosqito'. To annoy loitering youngsters while leaving adults alone. Some shopping malls have used this method. It is normally about 15kHz. Incidentally, I drive my teenagers nuts while charging Dewalt batteries. I can't hear it at all. Edit....I have a 'Function...

Can you identify this power switch?

It might help if you gave us the make and model number of the machine. Most likely a proprietary component and not sold separately. But you can use almost any switch (same spec and ratings). However, you'll need to find a new home for the switch. Martin

Acer Aspire 4738 laptop intermittent shut off

Hi Michael, You say that you've been using the laptop for several years with no problems. Couple of questions to get me thinking.... Do you hear the fan when you turn the laptop on? Acer Aspire 4738 laptop intermittent shut off

Ok, so you seem to have ruled out software, HDD and ram. It does sound more like a thermal issue now. But having said that, there are a couple of other things to try first. Take the HDD out and turn on the laptop. It will more than likely say "no operating system" or similar. Leave it on and see...

Electric motor on planer quits running after 1 minute

Sounds like the motor is fine. When the belt is off the drum, the motor works. Can you spin the drum by hand easily?. It should spin freely. If it feels ‘grinding’ or sticky, the bearings need lubricating or replacement. Oil the bearings, fit the belt and spin it until it frees up. It should...
