Help! Repairing water damaged PCB from Massage chair.

I would have still pulled the lot off the board and started a fresh.. Taking components off a board doesn't destroy it if you are careful. replacing one component is no different to ten or twenty..or 500. Your component leads are rusty, they need replacing.. My only advice is to buy a flux...

    Help with rotary switch adaptor

OK, that does look like you were correct all along. Sorry to question you! But we cannot trust what everybody says.:) All you need to find out now is the polarity of the input..Centre pin positive or centre pin negative? My guess is centre pin positive, however, it isn't always.. Martin

    Help with rotary switch adaptor

Yes true, But yours is TD670. The link is TD690. I probably agree that you are correct. I just don't want to say so without real confirmation! The label on the monitor does say 100-240v. If it was 12v, it would normally say so.. EDIT: Have you got a picture of the monitors power input jack? Is...

Newb looking for help: Connecting phone to old speakers [pictures included]

You can rub your fingers on the connectors/jacks/RCAs to give a little 'hand oil'. We used to do that with guitar leads that buzzed and crackled. It's probably either static or your MP3 player headphone out is a little dirty.. Unplug it and plug it a couple of times and twist them too..Same with...

Sine wave shape distorts when transformer is connected.

Or possibly because another transfomer is connected to an inverter, it's an even worse modified sine wave than just the inverters modified sine wave. Martin

Converting Bluetooth headphone to hearing aid.

I meant they normally go inside the ear, rather than sat on the outside like typical headphones. I know nothing about hearing aids. That is why I said "there is obviously a reason they go in the ear". Or all people using hearing aids would just have headphones? Martin

    A hard to resist problem

Just a question.. Those on the right, have very thick leads in comparison to the left resistors. My 1/4 watt resistors have really small leads. May be they are 1/2 watt on the right and 1 watt on the left? Martin
