  1. Great, it’s hacked! You got the formula right there! ;)
  2. A power MOSFET will do the job.
  3. We have a law which regulates warranties for consumer products. I believe one year is the shortest time allowed for any product. In many other countries’s its 90 days limited warranty which is the most common time and that doesn’t even always include replacing the product just send it for repair. Your hose supplier will eventually go bankrupt, that's a stupid way to operate a business. They should have put restrictions against UV exposure in the warranty terms. Anybody knows what UV does to rubber and PVC, and most anything for that matter. I once had car tires with 50000 km warranty and I did not run them for more than half of that distance I paid less than half the price for the next set of tires. This was more than 30 years ago and when I bought a new car after a couple of years they did not have the size to fit so I lost the deal. Since then I have stopped leaving rubber in every intersection and curve so the tires last much longer anyway! ;D
  4. Yes i think there are no such problems: "ELFA warrants that it will replace or repair any faulty Products if the fault occurs within one (1) year from the date of delivery" 300W cont. 350W for 20 min. 500W peak. Not too bad for 95 bucks!
  5. Hi cbass, Try ELFA they have almost everything you could want! http://www.elfa.se/en/ Click in your country’s flag and you will see! ;D
  6. Yes Mike! That’s the one I mentioned above but also discarded because of the 16 pins (at least I think there are 16 on the pictures) since that’s too many for the LM2917!!
  7. Hi AG, This one is about US$ 95: http://www.elfa.se/elfa-bin/setpage.pl?http://www.elfa.se/elfa-bin/dyndok.pl?lang=en&dok=11186.htm I don’t think you could get the parts for that amount of money! What do you think? ;)
  8. Hi finnpark, Welcome to our forum, A few questions; how far are the “sheds” located from your house? How many sensors per shed and how many sheds? Is it necessary to have continuous feed from the sensors or is it OK to have them switch on for a few seconds (to save energy) every hour for an update? Are the sheds in sight from your house, I am thinking.. maybe laser? Have I forgot something.. oh yes some answers :-\, well I guess it takes some brainstorming first ! ;D
  9. The IC seems to have 16 pins which exclude the in this kind of devices often used LM2917 which have only 14 pins if I remember correctly. :-\
  10. Hi cbass, Welcome to our forum. You don’t tell us where in the circuit the caps are located. The might be used for LF power stage or in the power supply circuit and could have different characteristics.
  11. It’s better to use a semiconductor switch for this; the halogen lamps (and the relay) will suffer badly if turned on and of repeatedly. If repeated very often it might be les harmful since the filament is still very hot for the next pulse. Just my two cents! ;)
  12. There is at least one way to do this; reverse the polarity on the output! Example; put a charged capacitor the wrong way across the output! Use safety goggles for this one! 8)
  13. Oh, sorry I missed that one! :-[ So it was ripped from this Japanese site! I wonder which software he is using!?
  14. Hi shaiq, I don’t have April, June or July yet! Sorry.
  15. Hi nanop, I am sorry; I thought you meant the forum. I believe the download link is in Turkish (not that I can read it) and this specific link is removed (dead). If the link was healthy it would look like this:
  16. Hi AG, Sure, I know that part pretty well but what software made the screen in the first place? Or, did you just find it on a website? :D
  17. Hi nanop, Which languish do you prefer obviously not English like Sonsivri?
  18. I agree; normal charge is preferable to increase the life of the battery! Once in a while it might be a good idea to run a charge cycle on high at the same time as running a test of the UPS say every 6 month or so. This will also let you know when the capacity of the battery starts to deteriorate. BTW. Congratulations Full Member Sukhbinder (100 posts)! ;D
  19. Yes we have that kind too but,…. that’s cheating! ;D http://www.elfa.se/elfa-bin/dyndok.pl?lang=en&dok=2021555.htm?_76_458_64
  20. Hi AG, From what software have you got those nice diagrams that you attached?
  21. Hi, I think you will have trouble finding a diagram for this PSU, it’s a military spec aircraft module. It’s very old but still Ericson is not in the habit of letting these schematics out to the public.
  22. Hi indulis, De-ionized water is cheaper to produce and easier to find (any gas-station) and works fine but still nothing beats the real thing; distilled water! ;)
  23. Hi Jack, Well software might be visual basic if you are making your own code. I might also be some commercial software for controlling the outputs/inputs you need. Channels, the number of relays (example output device) or number of inputs from NTC, A/D converter or any other source you like to sense or read. There is a tutorial here in E-Lab about interfacing an LCD to your computer, have you checked it out?
  24. Hi Jack, Yes, worked fine and high speed too! :D Got the “Elektor 1002 Schaltungen” 255Mb in just a few minutes! It’s now unzipped and works perfectly ! ;D Thanks again Jack!
  25. Hi acdc, Sorry, not much to go on. The output from the generator might have noise which won’t be accepted by the input electronics. The surge at startup might stir up some EMF which could be lethal the electronics! As I said “too many unknowns in your equation to give a short or precise answer”!
