    It’s right there on the label underneath the 10A 125VAC. I remember reading on a manufacturers website about a ‘rule of thumb’, but can’t remember where. Anyway, it said a 10A 125VAC switch should be ok for 10A up to 30VDC. Not sure if this applies generally or to that manufactures products...

    I use an electric rotating tie rack. It fits on my chrome poles for reels of wire. Was about £8 a few years ago.     To drop the voltage by 1V or 1.2V. Each diode has a voltage drop between 0.3V to 0.7V (approx) depending on the diode type. It’s just a crude way rather than dividers or regulators for such a small amount. Martin

    Good point. OP might get up to 6 months then. I buy CR3032’s on a card of 12 for £1. Testing purposes only!. But buy quality ones for my car key fobs that last a couple of years. Martin

    Changing the voltage or battery shouldn’t cause any issues providing the new voltage is stepped down to 3.2V. Martin

    Personally, I’d give the wire a little headroom. 16awg is a fraction more expensive. And you’ll be surprised how the small distances add up. It’s not calculated just to the connector.
