So this question goes out to Bertus because it's his wonderful suggestion!!
Hello,

That is a very complicated detector.
A simple diode with a capacitor to ref might even do the trick.

Hello,

Did you see post # 389?
I shows the effect of the RC timing.
100 nF and 1 megohm will have a full decay of about .5 sec.( 5 x rc time)

red is before the diode and after the signal generator and green is between the cap and ground!

Hello,

What happens in the envelope?
What kind of diode do you use?
A shottky diode has a smaller voltage drop.

Your first question, I don't know I don't see anywhere else to put the probe apart from after the diode and before the cap and resistor, which yields a flatline at zero volts, secondly just the standard one from the from the button at the top of the LTSpice program I'll put in a shottky now

Hello,

Can you post the .asc file from your simulation?
Also post the .wav file (rename the file to .txt before posting)

before the diode and after the signal = red
after diode and before cap and resistor = green
after capacitor = turquoise
signal before diode (red) after cap (turquoise)1702072109746.png1702070748668.png

Hello,

You used a resistor of 1 mili ohms in stead of 1 mega ohms.
Try the attached .asc and see what happens.

aaaaaaahhhh ok
so now I'm going to do 16000Hz and see if it's still does the enveloping effect!
Is that a good outcome ie is it good enough to use

I'm having major trouble going 16 bands logarithmically from 45Hz to 6000hz any help??

I'm going to build two, one that have the 45Hz to 16kHz because I have the parts now, and one 45Hz to 6000Hz need to space correctly though normally I use chatgpt for the spacings but its just spitting out BS at the moment

also I'm having a small problem of this

Does hz go on the x or y axis here? I'm pretty stuck does base 2 have anything to do with the scale?
