PM motor can be DC brushed, BLDC or 3ph AC synchronous, the last two motors are identical in construction, just the means of commutation is different.good man! I missed that, so what does that suggest, motor type wise? wait that was stupid it's a permanent magnet motor can you you PWM on that?
ha quite right 10 m/minA pot won't work.
PWM does lower the voltage (average power) so there's that.
And your winch doesn't do 10.5/s - that's like snapping an elastic band. Maybe 10.5m/MINUTE. (approx 2 feet/sec).
I can't access the second link on the internet connection that I have!Don't quote me on this...
You need not private message me in these matters. Just trying to keep the cards straight. Aces and eight's the dead man's hand!

I don't even know what that could mean!?!Sensu lato? In a broad sense, an explanation on the operational physics of a winch is not the scope or breath of this thread. Good day to you sir.
It's above my pay-scale, with all those Amps. It will need serious engineering and possibly critical layout, taking onto account heat-sinking, back-emf and EMI.need abit of help with it though
