ahh I see, thanks so I want to do a hybrid, I want to put the four coils on either side in series and and then parallel the output of both sets, thanks for noticing that

That should give you 40V, with the current capability of two coils.

hmm going to get more voltage out of it making modifications can you set it up how it will look in spice with the 2 sets of 4 coils (connected in parallel) and then those connected in series
That should give you 40V, with the current capability of two coils.

waiting for bearings for the trolley wheels, will have pics soon! I should be able to achieve at least 15 volts on each coil with minor modification, and I happen to have a 15v : 230v transformer; and so I'm considering just keeping the volts low and have max current, is this recommended? - I need to achieve 20 watt!

sooo... is that recommended? also should the current be constant or is this properly how it should be?1726863619647.png

after 200ms the spikes even out to just over 20watts when measuring power over the 1ohm r9 resistor before going into the main circuit so have I achieved the 20 watts desired 1726864957067.png

I found something!! the circuit seems to only work when the 5v supply to the VDD on the IR2110 chips, has no ground, and effectively not wired in, can anyone explain why?? thanks I think it works perfectly when the 5v supply is not wired in and so am thinking of just not putting it in! still not sure if the power is supposed to spike how it does, any help guys?? thanks

any ideas guys? so I found on edaboard that you can connect vdd to vss via 100nf cap and it works fine!!!

bearings turn up Monday will have pictures soon also read this "A real chip should not be operated without logic supply! But the supply voltage must be correct, e.g. 5V for a 5V input signal." I'm a bit confused!

so I've found if I set the logic supply equal to the signal voltage, the logic supply = 5v, and signal voltage = 5v or logic supply 3.3v and signal = 3.3v then it runs! but not if the logic supply is 5v and the signal voltages are 3.3v !

so I removed a couple of diodes I want to change the transformer to 40v : 230v but have the motor still at 15watt
how do you think the circuit is looking!? were do I measure the power out that the coils produce?? I'm looking to get 20watt 1727001583448.png

yes worked it out with google

can you help me with the new transformer 40 : 230 and then keep the load which is a motor but if you remember you used an inductor to model the 15watt motor
and also work out the max power that this circuit produces please? and the current too?? good to see you back Mr Alec_t also the power from the coils that I mentioned what I meant was the power from the 10v supplies. I want to find the max power this circuit produces and want it to be around and about 20watts
