That should give you 40V, with the current capability of two coils.

so I've found if I set the logic supply equal to the signal voltage, the logic supply = 5v, and signal voltage = 5v or logic supply 3.3v and signal = 3.3v then it runs! but not if the logic supply is 5v and the signal voltages are 3.3v !
I found something!! the circuit seems to only work when the 5v supply to the VDD on the IR2110 chips, has no ground, and effectively not wired in, can anyone explain why?? thanks I think it works perfectly when the 5v supply is not wired in and so am thinking of just not putting it in! still not sure if the power is supposed to spike how it does, any help guys?? thanks
after 200ms the spikes even out to just over 20watts when measuring power over the 1ohm r9 resistor before going into the main circuit so have I achieved the 20 watts desired
