PC Measurements

Zmeter is a logical continuation of the amateur program LCmeter and consists of software and hardware. The main purpose of this project is to measure inductances, capacitances and complex impedances of various radio circuits. In addition, it is possible to establish the passing values ​​of three-port models in the range from 22 Hz to 22 kHz (sound frequencies) in 22 Hz steps.

Professional software that turns a personal computer into a whole set of measurement tools that work in real time. Many amateurs do not have enough money to buy an expensive oscilloscope or spectrum analyzer. However, it is often necessary to generate special signals for testing equipment, testing audio amplifiers, oscillators, filters. Many musicians require spectral analysis in the range of sound frequencies. Visual Analyzer allows you to simulate the following electronic tools: - two-channel oscilloscope having trigger mode. The bandwidth depends on the sound card (from 20 kHz to 192 kHz). Resolution from 8 to 24 bits. There is a function of automatic calibration and fast establishment of values; - two-channel spectrum analyzer. Resolution from 8 to 24 bits. X-axis in Hz, Y-axis in dB or volts (requires calibration). The scale is linear or logarithmic, autoscaled, with a sixteen-fold increase in the selected area; - two-channel signal generator (triangular, square, sinusoidal; white and pink noise, ripple and some other options). The sampling rates are independent. Change of parameters (amplitude, frequency, phase between channels, signal type) occurs in real time; - two-channel frequency meter (in time and in the frequency domain) and a counter; - a two-channel True RMS class voltmeter (calibration is required) with a hold function; - filters: low and high frequencies, band-pass, notch, band-rejection, diode, double filter (one for each channel).

AsA is a collection of programs for the analysis of audio signals. AsA consist of three programs, that emulates some classical laboratory instruments using a simple full-duplex soundcard. It includes FFT Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, Multimeter.

LabVIEW offers a graphical programming approach that helps you visualize every aspect of your application, including hardware configuration, measurement data, and debugging. This visualization makes it simple to integrate measurement hardware from any vendor, represent complex logic on the diagram, develop data analysis algorithms, and design custom engineering user interfaces.

WaveWatch 1.3 is a full featured oscilloscope SW that uses the signal coming from a standard computer line input as a source. Full featured means that in addition to standard time/amplitude adjustments, it includes channel specific triggering with auto/single mode, frequency measurement, and user friendly time/amplitude measurement marking tool. It's open source under the by-nc-sa license, and cross platform (Win, Osx, Linux).
