    How do I store energy

Supply authorities are doing their utmost to discourage this in Aus. Their gear is designed for outgoing and since they have very little control over all this outsider grid connected equipment, it's causing them quite a few headaches. Seems the pollies never bothered to talk to the supply guys...

    Thermostaticizing

Your bridge rectifier is shorted out.

The MCU is not going to like ac either as pointed out previously.

    Thermostaticizing

You still have no ground reference on your transformer secondary. One leg goes via a resistor /zener to ground but the other leg goes nowhere. All to do with your layout and you cannot see the error which is why there are conventional schematics.

    Thermostaticizing

Well, your other secondary circuit has a ground reference and your circuit with the zener means nothing without one.

DC or AC Voltage reduction and relay help

Good idea to keep this meter well away from any mains supply as it does not have ANY catagory rating. It may well have a 750vac range selector but this does not mean you can safely connect it to any mains supply. http://www.electroline.com.au/articles/26521-The-ABCs-of-multimeter-safety

    How do I store energy

What if the batteries are already fully charged? Lift some large weights does it for me. Have plenty on hand so you do not end up with the battery problem above. Weights are cheap from local ironmunger.

You will need a ground reference on your right hand side transformer secondary also. What is the switch and resistor for in the secondary ?

Controlling a DC motor with a PLC

Normally, the relay outputs on PLC are "dead contacts" or "voltage free" meaning it operates as a switch. You supply the voltage you need from outside the PLC , in your case 12Vdc. You will need to make sure the relay contacts are rated to run whatever motor you are planning to connect...

    Dryer not spinning

First off, are you sure this is the schematic for your machine.? I assume you copied it from the back cover but it is 2 phase and neutral so just wondering if this is your supply. BU28 and BK33 I would say should be an internal motor switch that closes when the motor is up to speed and only then...

    AC power limiting circuit

#22 Davenn said not accurate enough..... starting to go in circles here. I don't know of a "micro circuit breaker" but even if there were, lighting will have some degree of inrush at startup which will defeat your proposal. Even then, people tend to find ways around so-called energy saving...

    Help understanding my new multimeter

You are correct to place your meter leads in series with the circuit. However, it is a little difficult to follow your explanation of what you had selected and what you had plugged in where so follow this. common is black meter lead For DC milliamps....red lead will go into the socket marked V...

    Help, AC to DC Circuit

Just use one leg of your supply output. L293 says 5 to 30v motor supply. You will have at least 25v. i.e. either the top 2 terminals or the lower 2 terminals on the right hand side of the power supply diagram. Just be careful of positive and negative. I cannot see the markings clearly so I'm...

    AC power limiting circuit

Why not just remove the ability to change the lamp. i.e. use a "wired fitting" . Many different types available such as LED.

Learning Electronics, need help with my noob circuit

Depends on the LED's. What forward voltage are they.? What current rating.? What battery are you using.? It is more likely you do not have enough voltage, not necessarily current in the first instance although this may be an issue further down the track if your 9v supply is a 216 battery. Three...

How to protect Metal Halide Bulb from burning

It's still difficult to follow your layout from what you describe which is why I asked for a layout diagram which I haven't seen yet. However, if you are running 40 to 60 metres to you first fitting as you say, and then have at least 12 fittings per circuit, and then looping out a further...

Use Capacitive Sensing to detect a train?

Ok....fair enough. Another consideration when you talk about detecting the metal wheels, these are usually made from white metal (similar to lead) so will that have any effect on you capacitive approach.
