Avalue EPC-WCL Fanless Edge AI System Packs Wildcat Lake SoC

Avalue EPC-WCL fanless system features Intel Core Series 3 (Wildcat Lake) processors, designed for industrial edge AI deployments.



Avalue Technology has introduced the EPC-WCL, a compact fanless embedded system built around Intel’s latest Core Series 3 (Wildcat Lake U-series) processors. Designed for industrial edge AI deployments, the system combines Intel’s latest Xe3 graphics with an integrated NPU, delivering up to 40 TOPS of AI power.

The system is based on Avalue’s ECM-WCL 3.5-inch motherboard and supports up to 48GB DDR5-6400 memory through a single SO-DIMM slot. Storage and wireless expansion are handled through three M.2 sockets, including Key-M for PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSDs, Key-B for LTE/WWAN or additional storage, and Key-E for Wi-Fi 7 modules. According to the product datasheet, the system also includes TPM 2.0 and supports 12V to 24V DC input, making it suitable for machine vision, automated optical inspection (AOI), speech recognition, smart retail, and industrial automation.

Avalue EPC-WCL fanless system features an aluminum heatsink chassis and supports Intel Core Series 3 (Wildcat Lake) processors.

The system supports up to three independent displays through DisplayPort 1.4a, HDMI 2.0b, and USB Type-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode). The USB Type-C port also supports 45W Power Delivery, allowing power, video, and data to be carried over a single cable.

Regarding software support, the Avalue EPC-WCL embedded system is officially compatible with both Windows 11 64-bit and Linux operating systems.
