The FETMX8MP-C System on Module (SoM) is built on the NXP i.MX 8M Plus processor, targeting applications in machine learning, vision systems, multimedia processing, and industrial automation. It is designed for use in smart cities, industrial IoT, healthcare, and intelligent transportation systems, offering reliable performance for demanding environments.

The SoM integrates a quad-core or dual-core Arm Cortex-A53 processor operating at 1.6 GHz and a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of up to 2.3 TOPS, enabling AI and machine learning applications. It features an Image Signal Processor (ISP) and dual camera inputs for advanced vision capabilities, as well as support for H.265 video encoding/decoding, 3D/2D graphics acceleration, and a variety of audio and voice functions.

For real-time control, the Cortex-M7 core is included, along with dual CAN FD and dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) for industrial networking. High-speed communication is supported through dual USB 3.0, PCIe 3.0, and SDIO 3.0 interfaces, making it suitable for 5G, high-definition video, WiFi, and industrial Ethernet applications. Multiple configurations are available within the Forlinx i.MX 8M product family to meet diverse design requirements.
