PocketBeagle 2 Industrial SBC Launches with 1GB DDR4 and 64GB eMMC
Industrial version of PocketBeagle 2 features TI AM6254 SoC, 1GB DDR4, 64GB eMMC, PRUSS real-time subsystem, and extended temperature support for embedded and industrial applications.
PocketBeagle 2 Industrial SBC
The PocketBeagle 2 Industrial SBC introduces an industrial-grade variant of the compact PocketBeagle 2 platform designed for embedded development and industrial deployments. This version keeps the same ultra-small 55 × 35 mm board layout while adding higher memory capacity, onboard storage, and support for extended operating temperatures. The board targets engineers building prototypes, industrial controllers, and compact embedded systems that require reliability in demanding environments.
Unlike the standard PocketBeagle 2, the PocketBeagle 2 Industrial SBC integrates 1GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB eMMC flash, while also supporting an industrial operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. The original model only includes 512MB DDR4 RAM and leaves the eMMC footprint unpopulated. These upgrades remove the need for external storage in many deployments and make the board suitable for long-term industrial use. The design continues to focus on flexibility with large GPIO access, debugging interfaces, and low power consumption.
The board runs on the Texas Instruments AM6254 SoC, which integrates four Arm Cortex-A53 cores running up to 1.4 GHz along with a Cortex-M4F real-time processor for deterministic tasks. The SoC also includes the PRUSS programmable real-time subsystem for industrial I/O control and timing-critical applications. In addition to the main processor, the board includes a Texas Instruments MSPM0L1105 Cortex-M0+ microcontroller that provides ADC capabilities and auxiliary control functions.

PocketBeagle 2 Industrial SBC Bottom Side
The PocketBeagle 2 Industrial SBC uses the same software ecosystem as the standard PocketBeagle 2 platform. Developers can run Debian 13 IoT images with Linux kernel 6.18 or 6.19, while Texas Instruments also provides its own Linux distribution based on kernel 6.12. The board should use the same hardware documentation and design resources as the PocketBeagle 2 Rev A1, though the industrial model may require updated Device Tree configurations for the onboard DDR4 memory and 64GB eMMC storage.
Block diagram of PocketBeagle 2 Industrial
The PocketBeagle 2 Industrial SBC currently sells for about $50 on Digi-Key, where several thousand units remain available in stock. For comparison, the standard PocketBeagle 2 sells for around $29.29, so the additional cost mainly covers the 1GB DDR4 memory, 64GB eMMC storage, and industrial-grade components designed for extended temperature operation.
