Retro Remake Launches SuperStation ONE Cyclone V FPGA-Based Gaming Console with MiSTer Support

Retro Remake has launched the SuperStation ONE, an FPGA-based gaming console built around the Cyclone V FPGA. Designed primarily for PlayStation 1 gaming, it also offers full support for the MiSTer FPGA platform. The console features 128MB BGA SDRAM, a 24-bit ADV7125 Video DAC for analog video output, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and an NFC reader with Zaparoo support. It also supports both active and passive cooling for optimal performance.
SuperStation ONE provides multiple video output options, including HDMI (up to 1536p/1440p), VGA, DIN10, composite (RCA), and components. It is compatible with original PlayStation 1 controllers and peripherals, ensuring an authentic gaming experience. Additionally, it supports MiSTer FPGA cores, allowing users to play games from other systems without requiring modifications or jailbreaks.

SuperStation ONE, built on the MiSTer FPGA platform, supports PS1 game backups via a 64GB MicroSD card or USB drive. It uses a Cyclone V FPGA, where each FPGA core reconfigures the hardware to accurately replicate classic gaming systems like the NES and PlayStation. Unlike software emulation, which can introduce lag and inaccuracies, the MiSTer FPGA platform enables real-time hardware reconfiguration, ensuring precise system behavior without requiring original hardware.
The company also introduced SuperDock, an optional accessory that adds a CD drive for PlayStation 1 discs, an M.2 2280 slot for SSD storage, and additional USB ports for peripherals.
The SuperStation ONE SoC FPGA-based retro gaming console is available for $179.99 on Retro Remake’s store page. The SuperDock can be preordered with a $5.00 deposit. More details can be found on the product page.
