SECO Launches Industrial HMI and SBC Powered by Dragonwing IQ-2390

The new compact touchscreen HMI panel and 47 × 114 mm SBC combine a 1.1 TOPS NPU, industrial interfaces, wireless connectivity, and Yocto-based Clea OS.

SECO has introduced two new industrial embedded platforms built around the Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ-2390 processor, which include the Vision 5 Dragonwing IQ-2390, a 5-inch touchscreen HMI display, and the SBC-Dragonwing-IQ-2390, a compact SBC measuring 47 × 114 mm. Both devices feature application processing, industrial connectivity, and on-device AI capabilities for machine control, industrial automation, and other embedded applications.

The Dragonwing IQ-2390 SoC integrates application processing, graphics, 3D vision, and real-time control functions. According to SECO, the platform boasts an integrated ISP, a RISC-V microcontroller, an audio DSP, dual Gigabit Ethernet with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), and an NPU rated at 1.1 TOPS for entry-level on-device AI workloads.

Qualcomm introduced its Dragonwing Q-2390 and IQ-2390 processors in September 2026 for consumer and industrial AIoT applications. We have also seen other boards using Dragonwing processors, including the Arduino VENTUNO Q SBC, which combines a higher-end Dragonwing IQ8 processor with an STM32H5 microcontroller for real-time control and edge AI applications.

Both SECO platforms share the following core specifications:

  • Memory: 2GB or 4GB RAM
  • Storage: 16GB of eMMC storage
  • Networking: Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth
  • Interfaces: RS232, RS485, CAN bus
  • USB: USB Type-C
  • Power Supply: 9V to 24V DC input

The Compact Vision 5 combines a 5-inch touchscreen and the Dragonwing IQ-2390 processor in a single panel-mounted unit, so there is no need for a separate display or computing board. This makes it suitable for industrial applications that need a built-in display and local processing.

The HMI device measures 145.5 × 102.4 × 33.4 mm and comes with an IP65-rated front panel for protection against dust and water jets. SECO also plans to introduce 4.3-inch and 7-inch versions in the future. The device can be used in operator panels, machine controllers, vending machines, and other connected industrial equipment.

SBC-Dragonwing-IQ-2390

The SBC-Dragonwing-IQ-2390 uses the same processor and memory options as the Compact Vision 5 but comes in a smaller 47 × 114 mm board without a built-in display. This makes it suitable for custom controllers, industrial gateways, and other embedded systems where developers need to choose their own display, enclosure, and peripherals.

The board also includes RS232, RS485, CAN, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. It also has an expansion connector for adding cameras, audio devices, Ethernet, USB, and I2C/I3C peripherals. This gives you options for connecting additional hardware based on your project requirements.

Software and Accessories

Both teh devices run Clea OS 2.0, SECO’s Yocto Linux-based embedded operating system, with support for Clea OS 3.0 planned in the future. The OS supports over-the-air (OTA) software updates, Docker-based application management, Secure Boot, vulnerability management, and remote device monitoring.

SECO AI Audio Dongle with integrated camera, microphone array, and speaker

The company also offers an optional USB-connected AI Audio Dongle for both platforms. It comes with a 3+3 microphone array with beamforming to reduce background noise during voice interactions, a 3W mono speaker, and a 2592 × 1944 camera capable of recording at 30 fps. The camera also supports autofocus and includes an LED for illumination. The dongle is designed for voice-controlled applications in factories and other noisy environments.

SECO has opened its Early Access Program for the Compact Vision 5 Dragonwing IQ-2390 and SBC-Dragonwing-IQ-2390. Developers and OEMs can register to receive updates on evaluation options and product availability. SECO’s official website has more details and the registration form.
