Ryzen AI 9 HX470 Powers MINISFORUM’s AI X1 Pro-470 Mini PC

The AI X1 Pro-470 is Minisforum’s latest mini PC, unveiled at CES 2026, and the first system powered by AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor. Manufactured by TSMC using a 4 nm process, the processor features 12 cores and 24 threads, combining four high-performance Zen 5 cores with eight power-efficient Zen 5c cores, and reaching boost frequencies of up to 5.2 GHz. Graphics are handled by the integrated Radeon 890M GPU, with configurable VRAM allocation ranging from 2 GB to 48 GB, enabling smooth performance for moderate gaming, content creation, and AI workloads.

The system is designed for clear communication and productivity, featuring a dual-microphone array with AI-based noise reduction and integrated high-quality speakers. Connectivity options are extensive and include USB4, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.0, and an SD card slot, allowing support for multiple displays and a wide range of peripherals. Storage capacity can be expanded up to 12 TB, making the AI X1 Pro-470 suitable for managing large 4K video files, 3D projects, and AI datasets.

Memory support includes two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots with capacities of up to 128 GB and speeds of up to 5600 MHz, along with three internal M.2 2280 NVMe slots for high-speed storage. An OCuLink port enables connection to external GPUs such as NVIDIA RTX and Radeon RX series cards for higher frame rates and 4K or 8K gaming. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, while dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired networking. The metal chassis also includes a Kensington lock slot for physical security and a fingerprint sensor supporting Windows Hello.

Windows 11 Pro comes preinstalled by default, while users can also install a Linux distribution based on their requirements. The system features a dual-microphone array for interaction with the installed assistant and includes VESA mount support for flexible installation options.
